The Forest Fringe Lineup
Brand new for 2012. Set in the little forest where the party campers were in 2011. We are hand crafting a beautiful bedouin style tent that will hang in between all the trees. We’ll open up the front too and place lots of seats and cushions so you can enjoy what is one of the most gorgeous spots on site, right next to the brook. We got Chloe, last years artist in resident, to draw us an artists impression.
We’ve introduced this to allow us to programme alternative entertainment whilst there’s music on the main stage. As well as acoustic sessions, expect short plays, puppet theatre, recitals and fringe films. It will be eclectic, different and something for you to go home and talk about.
Alice’s Adventure in Wonderland
A new adaption of Carols classic children’s novel. A magical musical romp through wonderland. Expect original songs, dancing, puppets and all your favourite characters.
The Heavenly Court Of Madame Fantaisiste
A quirky interactive piece that includes The Rogue, The Joker and The Fool who cavort in the faded opulence of their luxuriant boudoir. Passers by are invited to partake in the courtly games and dances.
Hodman and Sally
These two interactive puppets will be walking around the site all weekend. They are two tiny backpackers from the country of Oblivia. Its an enchanting and funny performance like you’ve never seen before.
Welcome on stage an entertaining group of objects who ooze attitude, sleaze, charm and an abundance of talent. Sometimes gritty, often mad, here you’l find the anarchic sock again, but this time with new friends Madame Teapot the ‘stainless steel diva’ and Limbardo the fearless Italian driving glove.
He’s actually more daft than dangerous. He has a sidekick called Herbert Lemon and together they perform some of the most mind bindingly silly stunts ever performed. Marvel as he fights his way out of a paper bag, and plunges himself into a domestic food processor. We said he was daft.
Meet Wobulous Discombobulous, the anarchic sock as he presents a line up of extraordinary talented performing objects, each with their own unique and captivating story lines. Inside the suitcase theres a daredevil ski glove, a dancing milkshake straw and the hypnotic tie snake Windsor Knot. They’ll be a wonderfully weird and bizarre music to go with of course.
See the Wise Birds as you enter the arena with tails of places they’ve visited and wise (or not so wise) advice for the weekend ahead.
The Blue Whale
Welcome to the smallest theatre in the world! The Blue Whale is a metal whale which swallows audiences whole. Inside a love sick mariner will sing songs and hand you a personal message to take away. Its your very own performance and each one is unique.

Formed in 2009 by singer Liz Scott, the band are a four piece from Kilburn, North west London. Having played club NME and KOKO and radio airtime on Xfm and 6 music, we think they are another band we should be hearing more of in the future. Catch them here first.
Born in Glasgow in 1980 and now a Manchester resident, John crosses the pennines for some fresh air. John has performed in many bands including the haze and the broadcast but now is solo. Expect melodic music with a twist of contemporary folk.
Combining soaring choruses and beautiful melodis, Hannah has created a unique brand of stripped back accoustic pop. She was named best international unsigned act at the 2011 St Helier Online Music Awards and her music has gained praise from the likes of Ed Sheeran and Lissie. Shes from Leeds too!
These guys are an alternative electro-pop trio, all local to Skipton. They create energetic, haunting gorgeous synth lines with fantastic vocals. They’ve only been going six months and already featured in BBC Introducing’s Huw Stephens tip of the week and recently won radio Aires 2012 unsigned competition. A good start indeed.
Matt is an unsigned singer based in Leeds. His debut Ep released in February spent its first weekend in the top 30 of the amazon and iTunes alternative charts. He produces all his own songs and is yet unsigned. This might not last long.
Nigerian born Zemmy puts her own twist on the pop genre writing songs filled with rich and memorable melodies. Influenced by Sia, Sade and Imogen Heap give her a distinctly intelligent feel. Her supporters include The Independent, The Times and BBC radio. We hope you agree too.

Having played in Ibiza’s legendary haunt Bar M as well as a set in the Manumission toilets and has gigged as far afield as Malawi and Russia he joins us for some house and disco with a smattering of classics in the fringe tent.
